The Edit

Eleven essentials.
Nothing else.

The morning, slowly

Three steps.
Nine minutes.

A ritual, not a routine. Light, water, oil — in that order. The skin remembers.

  1. 01

    Cleanse with intention

Three pumps of milk cleanser, warmed in the palm. Press, do not scrub. Rinse with tepid water.

  2. 02

    Mist, then wait

Two passes of the rosewater veil. Let it sit on damp skin for forty seconds before moving on.

  3. 03

    Seal with oil

Four drops of facial oil pressed across the cheeks, brow, and jaw. The glow will arrive on its own.

Atelier

Made in a quiet room above a flower shop.

We started Glow & Shine in 2021 with a single product and a stubborn idea: that beauty should feel like a slow Sunday, not a sprint. Every formula is built by Inês Carvalho, our chemist-in-residence, in batches small enough to fit on a marble countertop.

Our ingredients come from twenty-two named farms across Portugal and Morocco. We list every one, in plain language, on the back of the bottle. If we wouldn’t put it on our own daughters’ skin, it doesn’t go in.

What we mean when we say ‘clean’

The word has been worn thin. Here is the list we actually use, and the seven things we leave out, and why.

    A morning with Inês

Sunrise in the studio. Coffee. The smell of orange blossom on the bench. A short film about how Serum N°02 is made.

    Why we kept the glass

Plastic was easier. Glass was honest. A long letter on the cost of doing the right small thing.

Letters, occasionally

A thin envelope,
once a month.
